Alien is in my opinion the grandfather of all science fiction horror films. The inspired mind of Ridley Scott destroyed and re assembled the science fiction universe with his horrific scenes in this classic  1979 film. The eerie and ominous settings and the realisation that death is right around EVERY corner created immense tension and changed the cinematic world forever.

This poster was one of my favourites to create although not terribly difficult at all, I wanted to create something that was truly simplistic and yet carried the ominous and helplessness feeling of the film. This poster features an alien egg made famous by the film and we all know what happens when the egg hatches. Everyone knows when you are in a room with an alien egg you have almost no chance of survival, that is essentially what I am trying to focus one here. This egg is the perfect representation of an alien species hell bent on killing everything it finds. The egg is easily recognised by people who have and have not seen the film because of the impact it had on the cinematic world. Again like my other designs I have included minimal text only the title, the cast and a small extract from the films dialogue that may only be known by fans of the film however it still carries meaning to those who have not seen the film.
