Re-Working text

Here are a few creative images made by cutting up various font styles then arranging said fonts into a word phrase or sentence. After cutting up the text I the proceed to arrange the text in the order I want following this they will be then glued and fixed permanently to a plain sheet of either white or colored paper, in this case I used plain white paper and black text. The next step was to photocopy and print this on one piece of paper and have a solid black and white copy to keep as reference and a starting point should I wish to re visit and edit the piece digitally. Afterwards I took the printed copy scanned it into a computer and began to manipulate various aspects of the image using Photoshop. This gave me a chance to learn more about not only font types and how they can be used together to create a piece of original work. It also gave me the chance to explore Photoshop in much deeper depth and allow myself to be as creative as I wanted.

As you can see these works are simple and do not catch the eye as much as they could. After scanning it was time to re work and manipulate these images, below are the final images.

As you can see I was able to completely distort the original black and white uniform versions to brighter and more psychedelic designs for use in possible advertising or promotion campaigns
