Text Manipulation
Using a technique called kerning to space and alter the distance between each letter gives you greater control over the way text is displayed compared to simply using paragraphs or line breaks this is also an effective way to avoid using a hyphen. The other technique shown below is known as Tracking and is a way to space a whole word out equally however this can quickly render a word difficult to read.
Here is an attempt to make an untidy text block more coherent and uniform using both Kerning and Tracking.
Below is a simple layout of text that has been broken apart in various ways to make the text difficult to read yet still with a glance can be understood. This is done simply by adding white rectangles over any text body and covering certain letters to create a new shape. This process can be used in a variety of contexts to me this is a great technique to be utilised in poster or leaflet design.
