Cybernetic art

What is cybernetic art?

Does cybernetic art encompass inventors and technical engineers. People who specialise in machines and mechanical parts?

Yes in mown opinion cybernetic art is the creation of any mechanical body of work wether it be the manufacture and assembly of a car engine or a smaller invention made in someones shed in rural England. All creations that can be imagined can be built this is creativity on steroid's. Rather than art being classified to a canvas or a computer screen to later be printed it is a much broader term and means any creative thought that can be visually produced can be classed as art. This makes whomever created said piece is indeed an artist.

A prime example of this theory can be found in one of histories most influencial and brilliant minds Leonardo Da Vinci. Of course Da Vinci is classed today as an artist inventor scientist engineer and
sculptor among other brilliant tallents. It is my argument that there is no difference between these titles and that all are classed as artist. For a person to create and produce so many brilliant ideas and more importantly to fabricate and engineer all parts involved defines them as an artist. Rather than being an engineer for designing and building some of his most amazing and functional machines he is instead an artist for coming up with the idea in the first place. All of ones other titles are in fact skills similar to a designers skills on photoshop or indesign you utilise your own skills to creatively produce a body of work that originated in your mind. Everyone can be categorised as an artist in some way or another and therefore A piece of cybernetic art is such a broad term and is hard to definitively prove to be one specific outcome or another.

To me cybernetic art is all art. As we have learnt from my previous post on the meaning of the word and how it is used to describe a form of control anything that can be created while being a part of this controlled world is intact Cybernetic Art. This includes all of todays mainstream jobs from working with and preparing food down the line to designers and animators there is no way of not creating cybernetic art in world being controlled and regulated making it cybernetic.
